How to book the best and cheapest holiday…

There are lots of things you can do now to find the best holiday for your family. When you usually book a holiday, a full package from a travel agents does usually sound appealing as it quick and easy and its all booked. This option is usually really expensive and can also not be the best accommodation.

So here are my tips for booking your best vacation/holiday.

When you a scouring the internet for all the best deals, you need to know that it will take some time, but it is super fun especially when you find the perfect deal. So understand that you need to put a little bit of time into this and you will reap the rewards.

Firstly, decide where you want to go. This way you can start searching for flights and the best dates. Once you have decided where you want to go. Then we can start looking into how you want to get there. Most common way would be flights or car.

Things you have to think about when booking your own holiday.

Location: Where you want to stay

Transport: Will you drive, take the train or fly.

Accommodation: staying in a hotel or a homestay.

How you will get around: Hire a car, bicycle or use public transport like buses, trains and taxis.

Research: Look into the shops and restaurants in the area.

I use the app called Skyscanner to search for the best prices for flights and car hire. Using skyscanner can help you find the cheapest flights and the cheapest days to fly on. Try be flexible when booking a holiday and keep in mond that booking accommodation comes with discounts when booking weeks rather than days.

There are many sites you can use to find accommodation. The one’s I use is usually Airbnb, booking, agoda. Airbnb is my favourite as I can select the type of facilities I want. Kitchen, pool, gym, etc. It also give you an option to select your budget. This way you can get exactly what you want for the budget you want. Sometime you will have to for eight something so you can get a better price, whether that’s the location or facilities. When I choose accomadation, I would do a Google search of the best places to stay in the area, amd which areas to stay away from. This way I have a sense of what area in the city I want to look for.

Once you have a few places of accommodation in mind, then you can start to look at the local transport or whether you need a car. Depending on where you are going, you can usually find out through different Google searches whether they use taxi apps, or whether the transport is sufficient. It is worth looking at how much a car is too rent. Sometimes it’s pretty cheap and might be useful depending on how big your family is.

Once you have a few options for accommodation, then you can start to choose exactly what you want, including dates, flights and car hire. Once you’ve made you decision on all these options then you are ready to book and pay.
