Fabulous Eco Glamping At Field 725 in Frome -Hacking Parenthood

Fabulous Eco Glamping At Field 725 in Frome, read about my stay glamping in tents in Frome. Recently, I had a beautiful night stay at a place called ‘Field 725’ just outside of Frome.

This is our start of our wonderful big adventure of long-term travel. I’m am very used to camping with a tent and bringing everything that is needed. So, when I got offered a night stay in a glamping tent, I was intrigued.

When we arrived, the weather was just perfect. You get treated to a wonderful bottle of prosecco on ice inside the tent, which was much needed as we now have to lug around all our possessions where ever we go for our long-term travel.

As you enter the tent, you really notice the thought that has been put in. All, the furniture accessories are antique giving you the feeling that you are camping on the old African colonial times. If it wasn’t for the lush green grass of the beautiful English countryside, I would feel like I am right there on an African expedition in the 1920s.

The campsite is surrounded by fields and trees and makes for a beautiful peaceful setting. Just what you need when you need to relax.

The glamping side of the campsite is has a fully equipped kitchen which was very handy as we didn’t want to use the equipment we had in our backpacks.

Once we got settled in we made some dinner and sat on the benches provided. You get some wood and a fire bowl to make a great fire which keeps you nice an toasty in the chilly English evenings. Every detail is not forgotten as there were some tasty vegan marshmallows ready to either roast or eat.

We took some time to relax and also let our daughter have a little run around.

There are a few options of walks that you can do. One was about a 2 mile walk to a little town called Nunney which has a a sweet little castle, it also has a pub so a nice stop after a long walk. We attempted the walk with our daughter but it was eating a bit late and she wasn’t in the mood for a walk. There is also a little pond that you can swim in.

By the time it was bedtime, we were all ready for it. The bed was extremely comfortable and made for a great night sleep. The blankets were thick enough to keep us nice and cosy.

Waking up in the morning with the sun warming the tent after a chilly and the birds singing gave me a great start to a very relaxing morning. We had some lovely Homemade Organic Granola and sat outside staring into the distance.

We spent our morning packing and getting our backpacks fitting properly ready for our long journey. Our daughter was free to roam around the tents and explore.

The owner Andrew Giles is such a friendly and helpful guy, ready to give you advice and tips for what ever you need.

This campsite is eco friendly and they are making sure the recycle as much as possible. The have two showers and one outdoor shower, which I had to try, and seriously enjoyed having a shower under the leaves of the trees with the birds singing right above me. The toilets are compost toilets and are surprisingly not as bad as I was expecting.

All in all you come away from the campsite feeling very relaxed and like you did something for the environment by choosing it.

Instead of going on a long term travel adventure, why not try this mini adventure of peace and tranquility.
